Is Iran pretending to acquire nuclear capability to help raise oil prices?

All the tension regarding Iran's nuclear program may just be a ruse by Iran to keep oil prices high...it is quite clear that with China, India and Russia not cooperating on US sanctions, Iran will not get seriously hurt....on the other hand prolonged period of high oil prices will strengthen Iranian economy and status...


So it seems that Iran just keeps things on the boil sufficient to make Israel nervous but not bad enough to precipitate US participation in an attack on Iran....Israel by itself can do precious little whereas Iran can easily blockade the Hormuz straits by sinking some old junk....just the threat of doing that will take oil to $200 and drive the West deeper into a depression...


Iran surely seems to hold all the cards in this game...
