Are People who block Private Sector Entry into Defense Production Traitors to the Nation?

India is the biggest importer of arms in the world. If India had built its military industrial complex like any self respecting country, it would have generated tens of millions of manufacturing jobs and added at least 3 percentage points to the GDP every year.

The reason is simple. Weapons production by its very nature of use has to be cutting edge technology as it has to neutralize perceived enemy threats. In India's case if we had a military industrial complex its mandate would be to produce weapon systems which are comparable or superior to those of China and Pakistan....While China has indigenous manufacturing capability, Pakistan depends on US supplies of advanced systems. India's industry would have to supersede these to provide a credible deterrent to India's armed forces....

This has implications in terms of research and development within India....the Public sector being managed by the government is just not up to the task...the DRDO is like any government department a pensioner's paradise....people enter government service for the security of employment without any accountability for deliverables...the result is that the DRDO has for the past 65 years produced nothing and been a huge sponge soaking up scarce tax payer money...

This seems to suite the ruling congress party very well....Defense imports involve mammoth bribes from foreign suppliers. The funds are credited directly to secret accounts in tax havens...DRDO probably provides the congress party the smoke screen of appearing to attempt doing defense research while actually doing nothing....this therefore provides the perfect rationale to continue importing on a massive scale...

There are estimates that Indians have trillions of dollars stashed away in secret foreign accounts....no doubt significant part of these are of politicians and bureaucrats involved in defense deals...

The deliberately designed veil of secrecy around all defense matters helps cloak this criminal activity...it is time to call the bluff....

People who are blocking or obstructing the privatization of defense production in India are clearly traitors to the nation....the family controlling the congress party obviously appears to be the main beneficiary of this high treason....but they seem to control all related activity at a safe arms length distance...

Look at the recent proposal for enhancing FDI in defense production...the so called Saint Antony, the present defense minister shot down the proposal....obviously the saintly gentleman may be acting at someone's behest....logically the most plausible case would be the owner family pf the congress party throwing some bones at the saintly figure and thereby facilitating continuation with the loot in import transactions while making the public believe that it is all for the country's good...

Even Machiavelli would blush at such sophistication...

It is well established that defense research has huge beneficial off shoots for the civilian economy as well...discoveries made in the course of defense research can be adapted for civilian applications in industrial and consumer products...this has a multiplying effect on the GDP growth...

However defense research is expensive and the cost is built into the orders for development of prototypes of weapon systems and orders in future...for example a company developing tank prototypes would have its research partly funded by army budgets for tank acquisitions...upon successful development the company would make profits from production of tanks and the army would benefit due to lower overall costs compared to imports and also closer control over specifications and shorter development cycles...

This then leads to a virtuous cycle where the army partly provides some initial risk capital for research and then provides the bread and butter through regular orders on successful completion of development....if the product is really good, global markets can also be exploited by the company...so instead of being importers, India can easily be an exporter in the highly lucrative arms market...

But our entrenched traitors will not let this happen....they have created a smokescreen called the DRDO whose purpose is to channelize all research needs towards itself in the hallowed name of public sector and defense secrecy...as designed by the traitors, the DRDO delivers nothing....so there is no choice but to import...

Tragically, India imports defense equipment from suppliers of countries who also arm Pakistan...in effect India is partly funding defense research in those foreign companies and thereby indirectly subsidizing their arms shipments to Pakistan...is it so that Pakistan can kill Indian soldiers more economically?...

Logically it looks like all this is perhaps done so that the congress party and its lackeys in the bureaucracy and apparent partners in crime in alliance political formations can build trillions of dollars of wealth in secret bank accounts...

God save this country!!!

Amen!!!
